Technical fabrics: built for sun, salt and water
Boat upholstery cannot be done with just any textile. In Mallorca the sun is fierce for most of the year, salt attacks materials constantly and humidity encourages mildew, so we use technical marine fabrics designed specifically for the Mediterranean: UV-stabilised textiles that keep their colour, water-repellent fabrics that dry fast, and anti-mildew finishes that prevent odours and stains in poorly ventilated areas such as cabins and below deck. We also take care with salt-resistant marine threads and fillings that do not retain water, so the upholstery lasts season after season without losing its shape. Choosing the right fabric is the difference between upholstery that survives a couple of summers and upholstery that gives you many years of sun, sea and daily use.

Moving a boat is not always easy, so we travel to marinas and ports all over Mallorca to measure up, remove the pieces that need upholstering or work directly on board. If you prefer, you can also bring or send seats, cushions or covers to our workshop in Palma, where we can work without the space constraints of a pontoon. Either way, we agree deadlines with you so the boat is ready before you next head out to sea.

What materials do you use for boat upholstery?
We use technical marine fabrics made for the Mediterranean: UV-stabilised textiles that keep their colour and do not dry out in the sun, water-repellent fabrics that dry quickly, and anti-mildew finishes that prevent odours and stains in cabins and below deck. Seams are sewn with salt-resistant marine thread, and we use foams and fillings that do not retain water.
Do you come to the marina or berth to work on the boat?
Yes. We travel to marinas and ports all over Mallorca (Palma, Port de Palma, Puerto Portals, Alcúdia, Port d'Andratx and the rest of the island) to measure up, remove pieces or work on board. You can also bring or send the pieces to our workshop in Palma.
